    Dr. Sayar obtained his medical degree at West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, West Virginia. He finished his internship and residency at Emory University Hospitals in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Sayar completed his cardiology fellowship at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio and his clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.

    Dr. Sayar is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the Heart Rhythm Society. He has lectured nationally and has authored multiple publications on cardiac arrhythmias, pacemakers, defibrillators, and general cardiology topics.

    Dr. Sayar specializes in complex abnormal heart rhythms and ablations, including atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia. His expertise also includes lead extractions and heart failure device therapy such as cardiac resynchronization therapy (Bi-ventricular devices), defibrillators (ICDs), and pacemakers. He currently resides in Gainesville with his wife and children.
